Tutorial on how I deep condition my hair
Looking for a way to deep condition your natural hair using ingredients in your kitchen? Here is a video of how to deep condition dry natural hair using avocado, bananas, olive oil and coconut oil.
It’s really important to nourish and care for your hair. Deep conditioning is one of many ways to do so. In order to see your hair flourish, it’s better to have a routine that you can easily follow, depending on your busy schedule. I deep condition my hair once every week when I don’t have any protective hairstyle on, of course.
In this short video, you can see me indulging on my weekly hair care routine. Of course, it varies from time to time. I switch it up sometimes with a protein treatment or a hot oil treatment. I mostly listen to what my hair needs.
Let me give you the proportion of ingredients I used for the video:
- 1 small avocado
- 2 bananas
- 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
- 2 tablespoon of olive oil
In order to have a homogeneous paste, mix well the ingredients using a blender. I apply and saturate my hair with the magic paste on dry hair but you can do it on damp hair if you wish. Use a plastic bag or plastic cap to keep it warm. Let it sit from 30 min to 1 hour (your choice). After, I just rinsed out the mixture using water at first and then shampooed my hair.
I did not use any conditioner in the video just to show you how moisturized and shiny my hair looked. You can definitely use some.
If you have never tried it, I invite you to do so and share your experience in the comments. Please let me know if you have any questions.
